Harvest Thanksgiving
This year our Harvest Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Sunday 6th September. The charity which we have chosen to support is Homeless Project Scotland. There will be an opportunity to donate to this charity on Sundays 6th and 13th September. All funds donated go directly to supporting homeless and vulnerable individuals with a range of essential services such as food, clothing and shelter.
A Season of Listening – Saturday 12th September
The Presbytery are hosting a series of Listening Roadshows and congregations in the West of the city are invited to attend the session on Saturday 12th September from 9.00am-1.00pm at Partick Victoria Park Parish Church, 259 Dumbarton Road. As we prepare to implement our Action Plan, this is an opportunity to network and explore with other congregations, questions such as
- What makes your congregation distinctive?
- Where are you seeing signs of hope and new life?
- What feels fragile, difficult or under pressure?
- What might new creation look like in your local context?
For more information, speak to Lynn. This is open to everyone. If you are interested you can register by emailing events@presbyteryofglasgow.org.uk indicating which congregation you are from.
Communications
We operate a congregational-wide email list that keeps you up to date with any church news throughout the week. If you would like to sign up, please email stawpc@gmail.com asking to join. If you have any news you would like to share, please use the same email address to share it with the list.
Free-Will Offering
As part of worship, a cash free-will offering is taken and uplifted, the proceeds of which directly go to support the life and work of our church. There is no obligation to contribute, and you are more than welcome to simply pass the bag on to your neighbour.
If you would prefer to contribute electronically, then offerings may also be made via the Church bank account. Details are:
